Caramel Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. dark or light brown sugar
    2 sticks margarine
    1/2 c. light Karo syrup
    1 tsp. vanilla
    pinch of salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    6 to 8 qt. popped corn
Preparation
    Melt margarine in heavy pan.
    Add syrup, salt and sugar. Bring to a boil and boil for 2 to 3 minutes.
    Remove from heat. Add vanilla and baking soda; stir.
    It will foam up.
    Pour over corn in large, shallow pan.
    Put in 250\u00b0 oven for 45 minutes. Stir every 15 minutes.
    When cool, place in a covered container. I use a large aluminum pan; turkey size.
