Lemon Pecan Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. butter
    2 1/3 c. sugar
    6 eggs
    4 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 lb. candied cherries
    1/4 lb. candied pineapple
    1/4 lb. white raisins
    4 c. chopped pecans
    1 1/2 oz. lemon extract
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Add sifted dry ingredients, fruit and nuts. Grease and flour a tube pan.
    Bake 2 hours in a 300\u00b0 oven, or until done.
    Some ovens may take 3 hours.
