Lentil Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lentils
    1 c. chopped parsley
    1 c. cilantro (optional)
    3 stalks chopped celery
    4 spring onions, chopped
    1/2 c. red or sweet onions, cut up
    1 tsp. chili powder
    cayenne pepper (optional)
    Tabasco sauce to taste
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    1/2 to 3/4 c. wine vinegar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. olive oil
Preparation
    Wash thoroughly 1 pound lentils.
    Put in a pot; cover with water and bring to a boil.
    Simmer for 5 minutes; turn off heat. Let stand for over an hour (until cool).
    Drain off water.
    Add the chopped parsley, cilantro (chopped), celery, spring onions and red or sweet onions.
