Shepherds Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. finely chopped onion
    dash of crushed thyme leaves
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 (10 oz.) can condensed golden mushroom soup
    1/4 c. water
    1 1/2 c. cubed cooked beef
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas and carrots
    4 servings prepared instant mashed potatoes
Preparation
    In saucepan, cook onion with thyme in butter until tender; add remaining ingredients except potatoes.
    Pour into 1 1/2-quart casserole.
    Spoon potatoes around edges of casserole.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until hot.
    Makes about 3 1/2 cups.
