Fruit Cocktail Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1 (16 oz.) can fruit cocktail with juice
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Mix together all ingredients except brown sugar and nuts in large bowl.
    Pour in buttered 8 x 12-inch pan.
    Sprinkle brown sugar and nuts on top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
    Serve with whipped cream.
