Mexican Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. yellow corn meal
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. soda
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 c. sweet milk
    1 small onion, chopped
    1/2 c. bacon drippings
    1 (No. 2) can cream-style corn
    1 small green pepper, chopped
    1 1/2 c. sharp Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Mix corn meal, salt and soda.
    Mix eggs, corn and milk.
    Blend all ingredients together.
    Add green pepper and onions.
    Pour mixture into a greased casserole.
    Sprinkle with grated cheese. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes or until dry when tested.
