Welsh Scones - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
pinch of nutmeg
4 Tbsp. Crisco
1 egg
1 c. currants
milk
Preparation

Beat egg with enough milk to equal 2/3 cup.
Add to sifted dry ingredients, then add currants.
Add Crisco.
Mix thoroughly. Drop onto cookie sheet.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
Enjoy with tea!
Makes 12 scones.
