Meatless Minestrone - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 qt. water
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    2 large onions, chopped
    2 bay leaves
    1/4 tsp. oregano
    1/4 tsp. thyme
    1 1/2 c. diced potatoes
    1 c. diced carrots
    1/2 c. celery, chopped
    12 bouillon cubes
    1/2 lb. green beans
    4 c. shredded cabbage
    2 (28 oz.) cans tomatoes
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 (17 oz.) can corn
    1 (8 3/4 oz.) can corn
    1 (10 oz.) can peas
    1 (10 oz.) can lima beans
    1/2 c. cooked barley
    1 c. rice or elbow macaroni
Preparation
    Place herbs into cheesecloth.
    Add to rest of ingredients. Bring to a boil.
    Simmer for 1 hour.
    Remove cheesecloth.
    Serve hot.
    Yields 25 to 30 servings.
