English Butter Toffee - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. unsalted butter
    1/4 c. water
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    6 oz. milk chocolate
    6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate
    1/2 c. finely chopped toasted almonds
Preparation
    Butter a 10 x 15-inch baking sheet.
    Combine sugar, butter, water and salt in heavy saucepan.
    Place over medium-high heat and bring to boil, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
    Combine boiling, shaking pan occasionally, until temperature reaches 305\u00b0. Remove from heat.
    Stir in vanilla.
    Pour onto baking sheet and let run into 10 x 10-inch square pan.
    Cool until hardened.
    Melt 3 ounces of each chocolate together.
    Spread onto top of toffee and press in half the nuts.
    Refrigerate 30 minutes.
    Using spatula, carefully turn toffee over.
    Repeat coating with remaining chocolate and nuts.
    When firm, break into pieces.
