Vidalia Onions - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. slices onions (6 medium)
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1/4 c. dry sherry
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    In a 10-inch covered skillet, cook the onions in butter, stirring occasionally. Add sherry, sugar and 1/2 teaspoon salt and a dash of pepper.
    Cook, uncovered, for 2 or 3 minutes. Turn onto serving dish and sprinkle with cheese.
    Makes 4 servings.
