Garden Stuffed Yellow Squash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 to 10 medium-size yellow squash
    1/2 c. chopped green pepper
    1 medium tomato, chopped
    1 medium onion, chopped
    2 slices bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
    1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1/2 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    butter or margarine
Preparation
    Wash squash and then simmer in water 8 minutes, or until just tender.
    Drain and cool slightly.
    Cut a thin slice from top of each squash; remove seeds.
