Homemade Winter Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. chuck roast, cut into bite size pieces
    2 onions, chopped
    4 carrots, cut into 2-inch pieces
    4 stalks celery, cut into 2-inch pieces
    1 c. mushrooms
    6 potatoes, sliced
    2 bay leaves
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 (14 1/2 oz.) can beef broth
    1 c. red Burgundy wine
    5 c. water
    1/4 c. butter
    1/2 c. flour
Preparation
    Combine meat and vegetables in an electric slow cooker.
    Add bay leaves, tomato sauce, broth, wine and water.
    Cook 6 hours on high; 7 hours or longer on low.
