Apple Dumplings - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. shortening
pinch of salt
2/3 c. milk
1 1/3 c. sugar
1 c. water
1 Tbsp. butter
12 apples, quarter
Preparation
-
Mix first 5 ingredients.
Roll and divide into squares and place quartered apples in each.
Sprinkle with nutmeg and cinnamon. Wet edges of dough and pinch together.
Make syrup of sugar, water and butter.
Pour over dumplings and bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour until golden brown.
