Sweet And Sour Carrot Sticks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium carrots (about 1 lb.)
    3/4 c. sugar
    3/4 c. vinegar
    3/4 c. water
    1 Tbsp. mustard seed
    2 1/2-inch stick cinnamon (broken)
    3 whole cloves
Preparation
    Peel
    and
    cut\tcarrots
    in 3-inch sticks and precook 5 minutes;
    drain
    and cut in thin sticks.
    Combine sugar, vinegar, water and mustard seed.
    Tie cinnamon and cloves in cloth bag. Add
    to sugar, vinegar and water mixture.
    Simmer for 10 minutes. Pour over carrots.\tRefrigerate overnight or 8 hours before serving.
    Drain before serving.
