Rubber Taffy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. granulated sugar
    1 pt. sweet cream
    1 pt. white Karo
    1 tsp. Knox p.s. gelatine
    1/2 cake paraffin
Preparation
    Stir until dissolved and cook until 270\u00b0 on candy thermometer (soft crack).
    Pour into buttered, shallow pan and cool until it can be handled.
