Fruit Cake Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. brown sugar, packed
    1 egg
    1/4 c. buttermilk
    2 c. sifted plain flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. raisins
    1 c. candied cherries
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar; add egg and buttermilk.
    Sift dry ingredients and stir into creamed mixture, then stir in cherries, raisins and pecans.
    Chill dough for 1 hour.
    Drop with teaspoon about 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
    Bake 12 minutes at 375\u00b0.
