Cherry Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    Mix into batter and put into a greased pan.
    Spread 1 quart of cherries over top, then sprinkle 1 1/2 cups sugar over them.
    Add 1 quart boiling water on top and bake 1 hour at 375\u00b0.
    Serve warm or cold.
