Mom'S Egg Nog - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 gal. egg nog (Borden)
1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream (room temperature)
1 doz. eggs
3 c. sugar
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
1 qt. rum, Southern Comfort, brandy or corn liquor or to taste (optional)
Preparation

Separate egg whites; to egg whites, add sugar, a little at a time, while beating.
Continue adding sugar and beating until whites stand in soft peaks.
In a large bowl, pour in egg nog, slightly beaten egg yolks, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Blend in ice cream until melted.
Sprinkle nutmeg on top.
Chill and serve.
Now, add favorite spirits, if desired.
Simply delicious and sinfully rich.
