Split Pea Soup(Microwave Oven) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 c. hot water
1 (16 oz.) pkg. dried split peas
2 stalks celery, chopped
1 large onion, chopped
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. thyme or basil
1/2 lb. bacon, diced
2 medium carrots, sliced
Preparation

Combine all ingredients in 4-quart casserole.
Cover with lid. Cook at High 8 to 9 minutes, and at Medium-low 45 to 50 minutes. Stir occasionally.
Peas should be tender.
Puree mixture in food process or blender.
Reheat, adding additional water, if necessary.
