Microwave Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. raw peanuts
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. white Karo syrup
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix first 4 ingredients in deep microwave casserole. Cook on High for 7 to 8 minutes or until light brown.
    Remove and stir in vanilla and butter.
    Microwave on High 2 minutes (or until hard crack stage).
    Remove. Add soda.
    Stir quickly and pour onto greased cookie sheet. Cool and break into pieces.
    Makes 1 pound.
