Molasses Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. lard (I use Crisco)
1 c. molasses
1 egg
1/2 c. sour milk
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. baking powder

Preparation

Mix first 4 ingredients.
Mix and sift flour, salt, cinnamon, soda and baking powder.
Combine the two mixtures.
Pour into a greased and floured 8 x 12-inch pan.
Bake 30 minutes at 350\u00b0. This cake is much better served hot with butter.
