Country Fried Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 whole chicken, cut up
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. paprika
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    Crisco oil
Preparation
    Mix flour, salt, paprika and pepper.
    Coat chicken with flour mixture.
    Heat oil 1/2-inch deep in chicken fryer until hot.
    Cook chicken in oil until light brown on all sides about 10 minutes, then reduce heat.
    Cover and simmer turning twice until thickest pieces are done, about 35 minutes.
    Take cover off last 5 minutes to crisp chicken.
