Seven Layer Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 large head lettuce
1/2 bell pepper, finely chopped
1 can Durkee French fried onions
1 can water chestnuts, sliced
1 can LeSueur English peas
2 c. mayonnaise
4 Tbsp. sugar
1 c. shredded Cheddar
bacon bits
Preparation

Mix mayonnaise and sugar; set aside.
Layer lettuce with bell pepper.
Top with a second layer of lettuce and then onions.
Top with third layer of lettuce and follow with water chestnuts and peas.
Spoon mayo mixture around top and carefully spread with spoon, sealing with side of bowl.
Sprinkle with cheese and bacon before serving.
