Crisp Pecan Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 box brown sugar
    1 egg
    3 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. pecans
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Beat in eggs and vanilla.
    Stir in flour and salt until blended.
    Stir in pecans.
    Chill for 30 minutes.
    Shape into round balls and mash down with a fork.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 12 minutes.
