Beef Stroganoff - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 tsp. salt, pepper
    4 Tbsp. shortening
    1/4 c. chopped onions
    1 (6 oz.) can mushrooms
    1 clove minced garlic
    1 lb. round steak
    1 c. thick sour cream
    1 can cream of tomato soup
    1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1/4 tsp. Tabasco sauce
    1/2 c. green pepper, diced
Preparation
    Cut meat in 3/4-inch cubes or strips and dredge in flour seasoned with salt and pepper.
    Brown meat in hot shortening.
    Add onions, mushrooms and garlic.
    Mix sour cream with tomato soup, sauces and green pepper.
    Pour over meat.
    Cover, cook on high until steaming, reduce heat to simmer.
    Takes about 45 minutes to cook.
    Serve over spaghetti, noodles or other pasta or rice. Parmesan cheese sprinkled over top is optional.
