Apple Dumplings - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt
4 Tbsp. shortening
3/4 c. milk
6 pared and cored apples
1/2 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Sift dry ingredients together.
Mix in shortening and milk. Roll out as pie crust.
Cut into 6 squares.
Place an apple in center of each square.
Divide sugar evenly and fill center of each apple with sugar and cinnamon.
Bring dough up around apple; seal well and place in 2-inch deep baking dish.
