Cabbage Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 med. cabbage, chopped
    4 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
    1 bunch green onions, chopped
    5 c. water
    1 c. whipping cream
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Combine first 4 ingredients in a large Dutch oven; bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat and simmer 15-20 minutes. Stir in whipping cream, butter, salt and pepper; cook, stirring constantly until butter melts and mixture is thoroughly heated. Spoon into serving bowls; sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
    Yield: about 3 qt.
