Peanut Butter Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1 lb. Colonial light golden brown sugar
    1/2 c. evaporated milk
    3/4 c. smooth or crunchy peanut butter
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 lb. Colonial confectioners sugar
Preparation
    Melt butter; stir in brown sugar and milk.
    Bring to a boil and stir 2 minutes.
    Remove from heat; stir in peanut butter and vanilla.
    Mix in confectioners sugar; beat until smooth.
    Spread in buttered pan 9-inches (gingerbread or meat loaf pan, it will be quite thick).
    Chill until firm.
    Makes 3 1/2 pounds.
