Company Spanish Rice - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. salad oil
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1/4 c. chopped celery
1 1/2 c. long grain rice
1 (No. 2) can tomatoes (2 1/2 c.)
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste (2/3 c.)
2 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 bay leaf
pinch of pepper
2 c. hot water
1 (10 1/2 to 11 oz.) can condensed beef bouillon
1 lb. ground beef
3/4 c. chopped green pepper
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. sugar
Preparation

Heat oil; add garlic and celery.
Brown.
Mix rice, tomatoes, tomato paste, salt, bay leaf and pepper with hot water.
Add to celery and garlic.
Stir well and cover.
Bring to boil.
Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes.
Brown beef and green pepper.
Remove from heat.
Stir in chili powder, sugar and beef bouillon. Combine rice and meat mixture in baking dish.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
Add water or tomato juice, if necessary.
Makes 8 to 10 servings.
