Strawberry Sponge Shortcake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
4 large eggs
1 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
sweetened strawberries
cream or whipped topping
Preparation

Set oven at 410\u00b0 to preheat.
Grease and flour a 9 x 13-inch pan.
Sift together the salt, baking powder and flour.
Place eggs in mixing bowl and beat vigorously until very thick and lemon colored.
Gradually beat in the sugar.
Fold in flour mixture until well blended.
Fold in vanilla.
Spread in greased pan with spatula.
Bake for 13 minutes or until cake springs back when touched.
Cool slightly.
Cut into squares and top with berries and cream or whipped topping.
