Pepper Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    approximately 36 onions
    6 c. white vinegar
    6 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. ground hot pepper
Preparation
    Fine grind onions; drain and discard juice by squeezing through cheesecloth.
    Add sugar, vinegar, salt and ground hot pepper.
    Cook together on top of stove until onions are good and done (they will turn pinkish).
