Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. softened butter
    2 3/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. baking soda
    2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Mix butter, shortening, 1 1/2 cups sugar and eggs.
    Blend in flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. Shape dough into teaspoon-sized balls.
    Mix 2 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon.
    Roll balls in cinnamon-sugar mixture and place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
    Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until set.
    Immediately remove cookies from baking sheet.
    Yields 6 dozen cookies.
