Hot Milk Sponge Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 eggs
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 1/4 c. milk, scalded
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1/8 tsp. salt
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Beat eggs until light.
    Slowly add sugar, still beating, until light colored and fluffy.
    Combine butter and hot milk.
    Gradually add to egg mixture.
    Add sifted dry ingredients and vanilla; mix well.
    Bake in a tube pan at 350\u00b0, ungreased.
    Check after 1/2 hour; will need more, watch carefully.
    Take from oven and hang over a glass bottle (upside down) so that it doesn't fall, until very cool.
