Sauce For Spaghetti - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 bushel tomatoes
    3 onions, chopped
    4 green peppers, chopped small
    2 hot peppers, chopped small
    3 stalks celery, chopped small
    1 1/2 c. salad oil
    2 Tbsp. basil
    1 1/2 Tbsp. oregano
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. salt
    1 Tbsp. pepper
    2 (12 oz.) cans tomato paste
Preparation
    First take the top off tomatoes, scald and heat.
    Put through food mill.
    Cook about 3 hours or until thickened.
    Stir often. Add rest of the ingredients, except tomato paste.
    Cook another hour or more.
    Add tomato paste.
    Bring to a boil.
    Put in jars and seal.
    Makes about 20 pints.
