Pennsylvania Dutch Funnel Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. flour
    3/4 c. milk
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. almond extract
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 large egg
    2 Tbsp. powdered sugar
Preparation
    Heat 3/4-inch salad oil to 325\u00b0 in skillet or electric skillet.
    Mix first 6 ingredients with a fork in a bowl.
    Pour 1/4 cup batter from a funnel (close spout with finger) or use a teapot.
    Make a spiral 6-inch in diameter in hot oil. Fry for 3 to 5 minutes, turning once.
    Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Makes 7. Serve warm.
