Marinated Cole Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    cabbage, shredded (whole or 1/2 recipe)
    1 bell pepper, cut in long thin strips
    1 large onion, cut in thin rings and separated
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. oil
    1/2 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Put sugar, oil and vinegar in saucepan; bring to boil and set aside to cool.
    Toss all ingredients together and pour cooled liquid over cabbage; toss again.
    Season to taste with celery salt, salt and pepper.
    Marinate overnight in covered bowl.
    The men love this dish!
