Ingredients

1/4 C shortening
1/4 C margarine
1/2 C granulated sugar
1 egg
1/2 C peanut butter
1/2 C brown sugar, packed
1 1/4 C self rising flour
Preparation

Mix thoroughly shortening, margarine, peanut butter, sugar and egg. Blend in flour. Cover and chill. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Place 3 inches apart on lightly greased cookie sheet. With fork dipped in flour, flatten in crisscross pattern to 2 inches. Bake 10 -12 minutes or until set but not hard. Makes approx. 3 dozen.
