Texas Hash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 large onions, chopped
    3 Tbsp shortening
    2 cups canned tomatoes
    1 tsp chili powder
    1 tsp salt
    1/4 tsp pepper
    2 green peppers, cut fine
    1 lb ground meat
    1/2 cup uncooked rice
Preparation
    Cook onions and peppers in shortening until tender.
    Add ground meat.
    Add tomatoes, rice and seasonings.
    Arrange in a large greased casserole, cover and bake 45 minutes at 375\u00b0.
