Buttermilk Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. buttermilk
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 pkg. yeast
    1/2 c. warm water
    5 to 6 c. flour
Preparation
    Heat buttermilk to lukewarm.
    Add soda, sugar, salt and shortening.
    Dissolve yeast in warm water.
    Add first mixture to yeast paste.
    Add 5 to 6 cups flour.
    Turn out on floured board and knead until smooth.
    Cover with cloth and let rest on board 10 to 15 minutes.
    Make into rolls.
    Let rise until doubled.
    Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 400\u00b0.
