Chocolate Caramel Bars Or Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    German chocolate cake mix
    14 oz. caramels (30 pieces)
    1 small can condensed milk (2/3 c.)
    1 c. chocolate chips
    1 c. walnuts (optional)
    1 stick margarine
Preparation
    Prepare cake mix according to package directions.
    Put 1/2 of batter into a 9 x 13-inch pan and bake 15 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Mix remaining ingredients.
    Melt together in top of double boiler. Spread melted mixture on top of baked cake, then pour other half of cake batter over the top and return to oven; bake 15 minutes at 350\u00b0 or longer, until done.
