Canadian Cheese Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. chicken broth
    1/2 c. carrots
    1/2 c. celery
    1/2 c. onion
    1/4 c. butter
    1/4 tsp. paprika
    1 c. Old English cheese
    1/2 gal. medium white sauce
    1/8 tsp. soda
    salt
Preparation
    Melt butter.
    Chop or grate all vegetables finely.
    Add stock, soda and paprika.
    Simmer 15 minutes.
    Add cut-up cheese and white sauce.
    Simmer until cheese is melted.
    Add salt if needed.
