Sausage Pinwheels - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. self-rising flour
    1/4 c. shortening
    1/4 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Cut shortening into flour.
    Add buttermilk.
    Stir.
    Knead lightly.
    Roll out on floured board.
    Spread 1/2 pound bulk sausage on bread.
    Roll as for a jelly roll.
    Wrap in wax paper and place in freezer.
    When ready to cook, slice while they are partially frozen; place on cookie sheet and cook at 350\u00b0 until lightly browned.
