Southern Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. dark corn syrup
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. flour
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 Tbsp. melted butter
    1 1/4 c. pecan halves
    1 unbaked 9-inch pastry shell
Preparation
    Beat together sugar, syrup, salt, flour and eggs.
    Add vanilla, butter and pecans.
    Pour into unbaked shell.
    Turn the rounded side of some pecans up.
    Bake in a 300\u00b0 oven for about 1 hour or until filling is just set.
    Cool before cutting.
    Pie can be baked a day ahead and crust will not become soggy.
    Serve with whipped cream.
