Ingredients

4 eggs
3 c. sugar
1 c. butter
1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. lemon flavoring
5 c. flour (enough to stiffen)
Preparation

Cream sugar and butter.
Add eggs and beat well after each egg.
Add the soda which has been added to the sour cream.
Add flavoring.
Put cream of tartar into a little flour and add to mixture along with as much flour as needed to make a smooth soft dough.
Cool the mixture well before rolling and cutting.
(Can be refrigerated overnight.)
Bake at 350\u00b0 until lightly browned around edges.
