Ingredients

1 c. shortening or 1/2 c. shortening and 1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Add to the above mixture.
Chill dough.
Roll in 1-inch balls. Roll balls in beaten egg whites and then finely chopped nuts.
