Lime Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

7 1/2 to 8 lb. cucumbers
2 qt. vinegar (Twelve Oaks, red)
5 lb. sugar
3 Tbsp. pickling spices *
3 tsp. celery seed *
1 tsp. salt
Preparation

Wash and slice cukes.
Soak in 2 cups lime to 2 gallons of water for 24 hours.
(Put in cool place so water will not sour.) Then rinse cukes in cold water until all lime is removed.
Soak in ice water for 3 hours, then drain.
