Cottage Cheese-Mushroom Loaf * - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. canola oil
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 lb. mushrooms, chopped
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 lb. low-fat cottage cheese
    3 egg whites
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. basil or oregano
    dash of pepper
    1/2 c. bread crumbs
Preparation
    Saute onion in oil in large frying pan on medium heat for 5 minutes.
    Add the chopped mushrooms and garlic and saute 10 minutes longer.
    Stir the cottage cheese into the mushroom mixture.
    Add the remaining ingredients and mix until well blended.
    Spoon into a well-greased (spray) 9 x 5-inch loaf pan. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 50 to 55 minutes or until set.
    Makes 4 to 6 servings.
