Warm Split-Pea And Carrot Salad(Low-Fat) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. split peas
2 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. bean sprouts
1 c. fine julienned carrots
1/2 c. julienned green bell peppers
1/4 c. lemon juice
2 tsp. vegetable oil
2 tsp. Dijon-style mustard
1 tsp. garlic salt
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. grated lemon peel
dash of cayenne pepper
Preparation

Rinse and drain peas.
Bring peas, water and salt to boil in medium saucepan; reduce heat.
Cover and simmer 18 to 20 minutes or until peas are barely cooked. Stir in sprouts, carrots and bell pepper during final two minutes of cooking.
Drain mixture if necessary.
