Low-Fat Apple Bran Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. flour
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    2 1/2 c. Bran Flakes
    1 1/4 c. skim milk
    2 egg whites
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 apple, cut into very small pieces
Preparation
    Stir together flour, sugar, salt and baking powder.
    Set aside.
    In large mixing bowl, combine Bran Flakes and milk.
    Let stand until cereal softens.
    Add egg whites and oil; mix well. Add flour mixture and cut up apple.
    Pour into lightly greased muffin tins.
    Bake in a 400\u00b0 oven for 18 minutes or until lightly browned.
