Biscuit Crust For Meat Pies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/8 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 c. Crisco
    3 Tbsp. water
    1 egg, beaten
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
Preparation
    Mix flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg together.
    Cut in Crisco until mixture looks like coarse meal.
    Combine egg, water and lemon juice.
    Add to flour mixture, mixing lightly with a fork until soft dough is formed.
    Knead lightly on floured board about 20 seconds.
    Roll out to 1/2-inch thick and cut into desired shape.
    Place on top of pot pie filling.
    Bake in hot oven at 450\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until browned and done.
